Your top 5 Questions on the MQC Force Tactical

Are they ADF approved?

The Merrell MQC 2 boots are on the ADF approved list; the MQC Force tactical boots are not. The MQC 2 boots had been discontinued by the time they were added to the approved list, and Merrell had upgraded the model, creating the improved MQC Force Tactical. Due to increased demand following its approval, the MQC 2 has since been brought back into production. However, the MQC Force Tactical remains the newer, improved version of the boot. Visibly, the differences are minimal, with the most noticeable updates being a more streamlined outer and midsole design.

Is It AR670-1 compliant?

Yes. It has dark coyote material, Fleshed out rough suede leather, with matching laces, rubber sole and a height of 8 inches.

Will they break like the MQC2?

No, the new MQC Force model does not have the same fault as the MQC 2. Several customers experienced the edge of a side panel coming loose in the older MQC 2 Boots due to the material not being securely stitched in place. We have not found this fault in the new, upgraded MQC Force Tactical boots.

Do I go up 1/2 a size for wide feet?

The MQC Force Tactical boots generally fit true to size in length and are designed with a standard width. If you have slightly wide feet, your usual size should still be suitable once the boots are broken in due to the soft suede. For wider feet, going up half a size can provide a bit of extra room. For the best fit, we recommend visiting one of our Valhalla Tactical stores to try the boots on in person. As everyone’s feet are different, we can’t guarantee sizing without a fitting.

Are the boots waterproof?

Like the MQC 2, the MQC Force Tactical boots are not waterproof. They feature 2 medial vents for breathability, perfect in Australia's humid climate. The vents also aid in draining water from the shoe, allowing it to dry faster.
