I work for local government and am an evacuation centre volunteer that's required to fill out an A6-sized log from the moment I'm activated. Having something compact enough that it'll fit on my logbook/in my 5.11 admin pouch which can be mounted to my belt but ergonomic and functional enough to be usable is key, with the compact bolt action pen meeting both of those needs. Being Rite in the Rain, I don't need to worry about the weather/the condition of any paper I'm writing on, the bolt action is effective in making sure that ink goes where it's supposed to and the textured triangular barrel ensures good dexterity despite its shortness. The two things to watch for are that the refills are pressurised and as a result, I don't recommend their used in pressurised aircraft cabins (learnt that the hard way) and the clip feels quite firm for plastic (increased risk of snapping if force is used to slide it onto something), otherwise I highly recommend this pen which got positive comments from my evacuation centre colleagues.
